In 2015 I adapted this beautiful piece of Ravel’s piano trio and performed it as a last number of my final recital for the jazz MA. I hadn’t been playing “classical” music since years, hence many mistakes in terms of intonation, tone and cleanness of sound – please bear with them.
However this piece has accompanied me throughout the years I spent in Holland; so many nights talking with friends ended listening to this beauty. I guess sometimes it’s important to try and push your technical limitations to pursue the wish of playing a piece you love on your instrument.
